Position Summary

The Human Resources Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for assessing, developing, and administering training and organizational development programs for employees. They also research and recommend new initiatives to align organizational development with business objectives and measure employee performance to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, they will assist with various analytical, technical, and human resources administrative duties and initiatives.


Principal Duties

  • Engages key stakeholders to develop and implement employee development programs
  • Designs and develops onboarding and training programs for management and employees
  • Advises management on HR programs including Employee and Labor Relations and provides strategic guidance to ensure best HR practices are integrated into organizational development
  • Research employment laws and/or best practices to resolve ad hoc issues and assists in the development and implementation of organizational development programming
  • Confers with managers on performance management, employee morale issues, effective management techniques, leadership development, team building and other related issues, to improve the efficient and effective operation of training programs and employee satisfaction
  • Conducts climate assessments and analyzes results. Makes recommendations for professional and organizational development programs to address findings
  • Designs, develops and facilitates training sessions on applicable topics to develop key management competencies
  • Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans
  • Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments
  • Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance
  • Trains employees on HR issues and practices. Presents course materials
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support the Human Resources Department
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Possess exceptional relationship-building skills, with an ability to manage the demands of multiple stakeholders


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • At least five (5) years' experience in Human Resources
  • At least two (2) years' experience developing and implementing organizational development programs
  • At least two (2) years' experience creating and delivering training
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, codes and/or statutes
  • Proficiency with HRIS and learning/performance management systems. Experience with Paychex and BizLibary is a plus!
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook


Other Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
  • Able and willing to travel (Travel up to 25%)
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
